Colleague brought us to a jazz bar in Ho Hai. Staying past midnight against my better judgement. Got a Great Wall tour at 8am tomorrow. Weird thing is, it all feels like I'm in Japan. Comfortable not alien.

How many more unexpected obstacles will come our way? When we reached the intersection of rt 20 and Morgnec Road, there was some sort of accident and we had to take a lengthy detour.

My darling supportive husband not only is driving me to Bowie to be picked up by the airport shuttle, he packed me some food and snacks. Because at 5:30 this morning I wasn't finished packing when Rock Hall lost power. And we were supposed to leave at 6:00. Packing with flashlights.

Five hours and $200 later. Usagi was very sweet and seems to have returned to her normal self behavior-wise. Dr. Gold was not there today but I trust his colleagues. Dr. Haskin was very patient. The new living arrangements have gone well in some respects and challenging in others.

As my loyal readers may recall, we replaced the old carpet in the bunny room (which is 13 x 26 feet) and cordoned off the back end with a fence between two pens. We gave Coney & Usagi a larger space, but Earl & Jasmine still got a space about double what they had ( Read more... )

Funny how even though I am a BU alumni, the taxi ride through Harvard Square brought back such memories. The taxi driver was a really old guy and he said he started driving in '82 so he joked that maybe I rode with him once before.

Just when I thought the bus would get me home early, the driver got pulled over for speeding right before the toll plaza for the Bay Bridge! And I wouldn't even normally be on this bus if I had not worked late due to a meeting at USTR. Soooo hungry argh. Was planning to eat on Kent Island.

Teleworking on Wednesdays has its perks... Like not having to get up at the crack of dawn after staying up the night before to watch LOST. Very much looking forward to it!

By the way, I have a filter for LOST and I promise to start using it instead of clogging up friends pages, though LJ is getting to be a ghost town anyway.
